This album of Yantra’s Musica Coniuncta follows the particular ‘combinational’ method that was initiated with the preceding release devoted to J. S. Bach and Domenico Scarlatti (Musica Coniuncta 5). Instead of working with existing recorded pieces as in previous albums (Musica Coniuncta 1 to 4), the combination now works through MIDI files which are derived from printed music scores.
This method allows greater creative opportunities for integration of the music materials.
The chosen composers for this album are Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky. The original pieces of the composers are identified in the track titles.
There are of course several aspects – of technical, musical, and aesthetic nature – that could be discussed, but dealing with them here would be hardly manageable.
Questions then are welcome. And no AI is involved.
